As a greater percentage of our population is being vaccinated and boosted, we also need to take into account the concerns relative to the omicron variant. Guidelines continue to be revised and evaluated and we continue to monitor the situation closely and comply with all guidelines. Because our geographic area is comprised of 13 states and the District of Columbia, guidelines vary state by state, and especially in areas of very high population densities. OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY STILL REMAINS THE SAFETY AND HEALTH OF ALL.
Just as we did in 2021, we continue to offer what services and events we safely can to support our ministers and ministries. We are pleased to say that our online offerings this year have continued to be welcomed and well attended.
Taking all of these factors into consideration, we are planning to offer some in person events for our youth in Spring 2022. We have not yet made a final decision on our Fall 2022 Conference. Please join us in affirming our ability to continue to deepen our connections with or without being physically together. Our intention is to have our 2022 Eastern Region Fall Conference be the best yet!
At this point, we will need to continue to reevaluate our ability to sponsor in person events during 2022. We will however, continue to reassess and update you as we receive new data and make new decisions.
